The Word – PT6

Anchor Scripture: Matthew 6:33 But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right – the attitude and character of God), and all these things will be given to you also. (AMP) Meditations I bring you greetings in the name of the one with the keys of David – Yeshua Amashia. May His shalom abide with you. I suppose every statement made by our Lord Jesus deserves our utmost attention and deepest meditations. This is simply because He is both The Word (John 1:14) and The Wisdom of God. (1 Corinthians 1:24). Therefore when Wisdom utters a word, the discerning ought to listen. In our anchor scripture today, The Wisdom of God shows us the never failing winning formula for everyone of us – making God our priority. I therefore want us to pay attention. Exhortation: God, at sundry times and in diverse manners has shown us in the scripture, His number one place in our lives because He created us and we are the sheep of His pasture. For Instance, four times in the book of Revelations, God introduced Himself as Alpha and Omega. (Rev. 1:8,12; 21:6; 22:13). Furthermore, of the Ten Commandments, the first four (Ex. 20:1-11) are about Him and He also expressly demanded (among others) that the first born male of the Jewish people belong to Him. All these instances confirm Jesus’s statement in Matthew 6:33 that, for us to succeed without breaking a sweat, God should be our priority – our number one in all things! There are very many laws in nature but one of the most important (actually the most important) of them all is the law priority. It is applicable in all areas of life (it is taught in business schools, even in medical colleges etc) but much more, it’s application in our walk with God is the only true story behind the true glory of the believer. Many things compete for our time, energy, attention and other vital resources everyday but, if you and I must succeed where others fail, God must rank highest in the allocation of these resources. You remember the story of the widow of Zarephath in 1Kings 17:6-16? She survived the famine without a struggle simply because she heeded the instruction of Elijah – the servant of God. Given the current situation in our world, the temptation to compromise this law of priority, in our relationship with God, is very high in areas such as payment of our tithes, giving our offerings, evangelism and helping the needy. Beloved, may I encourage you to heed the instruction of Elijah “… but make me a little cake first…” (1Kings 17:13). That is exactly what The Wisdom of God is saying to you today – attend to God FIRST. And, am sure you know that every obedience to scripture brings us blessings. Yes, things may be tight and you may be under intense pressure, but let God yet be honored in your situation. Do not forget your first love and you will break records by succeeding where others failed. Making God our priority honors Him. Time and space will fail me to share several testimonies with you on this but, please make God your priority from today and you will see that God is faithful to His word. Prayers I pray that the Holy Spirit open your eyes of understanding to see the invisible and to hear the inaudible. Amen. This, indeed is a vital lesson for al
