Herald of His Coming – (Act Of The Apostles Part 4)

Herald of His Coming – (Act Of The Apostles Part 4)

I bring you greetings in the precious name of the Lord Jesus Christ. May His grace continue to abide with and abound in us.
As I brood further over the subject of intimacy with God as a prerequisite for power, that we began to consider in the last three editions, I just wonder why we are so restless in this generation even when the scripture prescribes that our only labor should be to enter His rest. Hebrews 4:11. “Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest …,”

In Mark 6:31, Jesus told His disciples after a major spiritual activity …“And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.”

Though the people wanted Jesus at all times and by all means but, He would only make Himself available when He must have secured the means of addressing the people’s challenges from the presence of the Father. To be the best of my knowledge, our relevance is only in intimacy, so much so that as we receive from heaven, we deliver to our world. Am sure Jesus left with us enough example in this regard to emulate. He was first a deep man of the closet before being a public figure. Don’t make mistakes about it, this is not just applicable in ministry, but also in business and in the corporate world. We can be much successful in business and in the pursuit of our careers as we develop deeper intimacy with God.
Brethren, I want to encourage us to get closer to God in intimacy because the closer we get to Him, the more of Him we become and the more of Him become, the more of His glory we carry! 2Corinthians 3:18. This was a major source of strength of the early apostles and it can still be ours too.
Thank you for your time and I trust to see you in the next edition if Jesus tarry in His coming.

Maranatha!
