Anchor Scripture: 2 Samuel 6:3,7 And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave the new cart. And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God. Meditations: Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. May His grace and peace be multiplied unto you. Our anchor scripture today is a part of a story that started very well but turned sour because of the error of men. A new Cart (modern methodology) was manufactured purposely to drive the Ark (The presence of Elohim) of God back to Jerusalem with pomp and pageantry! I imagine Uzzah and Ahio (please read the entire story ) feeling cool for the very rare privilege of driving the Cart. You could feel the excitement of the whole nation until things went sour in 2Samuel 6:7 where God killed Uzzah – one of the drivers. But why? Even David did not understand at the time. May the Lord speak to His body today. Amen. Exhortation I believe that one of the things we should always strive to remember in our walk with God is that we are relating with the Ancient of days who calls Himself I AM. What that means to me is that He is in the future as much as He is in the now and as He was in the dateless past. God disapproved all the efforts and sacrifice of David because His presence does not ride on Carts but on the shoulders of choice men. Hear what the Bible says concerning a clan in Levi “But unto the sons of Kohath he gave none: because the service of the sanctuary belonging unto them was that they should bear upon their shoulders. (Numbers 7:9). If you back up to the preceding verses, you will understand that this was the time when MOSES was allocating Wagons and Oxen for the service of the sanctuary. Beloved, though the immediate cause of the death of Uzzah was that he touched the Ark and looked inside when it shook but for me, the remote and the real cause of his death was that the Ark was placed on a Cart rather than on the shoulders of men. Brethren, you know it is possible that, out of zeal, we to want to “impress’ God and in the process you may end up displeasing Him? That is why zeal without knowledge is dangerous. We must always be humble enough to stick to His prescribed modus operandi. Therefore, as we serve Him sacrificially, I want us to please pay attention to the following: Nothing outside of God pleases Him: God is too complete to be improved upon. Creativity without compliance with the Creator’s prescription is a great error. You remember how God went into great details describing how ordinary curtains in the temple to MOSES should be arranged and He told him sternly to endeavor to do everything according to the pattern He had shown him on the mountain. Exodus 25:40. Little wonder God approved his work by showing up with the cloud of glory in Exodus 40:33-34. All the versatility of Aholiab and Bezaleel were divinely imparted hence they could carry out complex tasks that were all acceptable to God. Think about the one who made both the ant and the Elephant. The other time I was watching on Television the complex creatures of God under the sea. Beloved, God is truly too complete to be improved upon. To attempt to do that is to insult Him. Hence Uzzah died! Please let us be careful not to dance to the gallery rather let us be careful always to find out the ancient land marks and carefully walk in them. We should always seek divine approval first! As I conclude on this edition, trusting God to take it up from here next time, my plea is that it is instructive to think less of impressing men but on pleasing God and that we should be careful enough to ensure that our zeal is founded on the knowledge of God. Shalom. Prayers Your life shall not be a waste in Jesus name. Amen Bible reading: 2Samuel 6:1-23, 1Chronicles 15:15 I bring you greetings in the name of Jehovah Shalom. By the grace of God, the lockdown will be over by 11:59pm tonight and, thereafter our gradual journey to normalcy begins. We thank God for keeping all of us this far. Please as you go out to transact legitimate businesses, adhere to government directives, listen to health officials and maintain the highest sense of hygiene. Wash and sanitize your hands regularly, wear your face mask and maintain social distancing. Above all, be prayerful and seek the leading of the Holy Ghost. No evil shall befall you and all yours in Jesus name. Have a graceful month and happy thanksgiving sunday. God bless you

Anchor Scripture: Matthew 6:33 But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right – the attitude and character of God), and all these things will be given to you also. (AMP) Meditations I bring you greetings in the name of the one with the keys of David – Yeshua Amashia. May His shalom abide with you. I suppose every statement made by our Lord Jesus deserves our utmost attention and deepest meditations. This is simply because He is both The Word (John 1:14) and The Wisdom of God. (1 Corinthians 1:24). Therefore when Wisdom utters a word, the discerning ought to listen. In our anchor scripture today, The Wisdom of God shows us the never failing winning formula for everyone of us – making God our priority. I therefore want us to pay attention. Exhortation: God, at sundry times and in diverse manners has shown us in the scripture, His number one place in our lives because He created us and we are the sheep of His pasture. For Instance, four times in the book of Revelations, God introduced Himself as Alpha and Omega. (Rev. 1:8,12; 21:6; 22:13). Furthermore, of the Ten Commandments, the first four (Ex. 20:1-11) are about Him and He also expressly demanded (among others) that the first born male of the Jewish people belong to Him. All these instances confirm Jesus’s statement in Matthew 6:33 that, for us to succeed without breaking a sweat, God should be our priority – our number one in all things! There are very many laws in nature but one of the most important (actually the most important) of them all is the law priority. It is applicable in all areas of life (it is taught in business schools, even in medical colleges etc) but much more, it’s application in our walk with God is the only true story behind the true glory of the believer. Many things compete for our time, energy, attention and other vital resources everyday but, if you and I must succeed where others fail, God must rank highest in the allocation of these resources. You remember the story of the widow of Zarephath in 1Kings 17:6-16? She survived the famine without a struggle simply because she heeded the instruction of Elijah – the servant of God. Given the current situation in our world, the temptation to compromise this law of priority, in our relationship with God, is very high in areas such as payment of our tithes, giving our offerings, evangelism and helping the needy. Beloved, may I encourage you to heed the instruction of Elijah “… but make me a little cake first…” (1Kings 17:13). That is exactly what The Wisdom of God is saying to you today – attend to God FIRST. And, am sure you know that every obedience to scripture brings us blessings. Yes, things may be tight and you may be under intense pressure, but let God yet be honored in your situation. Do not forget your first love and you will break records by succeeding where others failed. Making God our priority honors Him. Time and space will fail me to share several testimonies with you on this but, please make God your priority from today and you will see that God is faithful to His word. Prayers I pray that the Holy Spirit open your eyes of understanding to see the invisible and to hear the inaudible. Amen. This, indeed is a vital lesson for al

Anchor Scripture: Isaiah 36:11-13 Then said Eliakim and Shebna and Joah unto Rabshakeh, Speak, I pray thee, unto thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and speak not to us in the Jews’ language, in the ears of the people that are on the wall. But Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master and to thee to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men that sit upon the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you? Then Rabshakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews’ language, and said, Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of Assyria. Meditations. Greetings in the most glorious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our anchor scripture today is an excerpt from the incidence of King Senacherib’s (King of Assyria) attempt to conquer Jerusalem in the days of Hezekiah – a righteous king. He (Sennacherib) had the track record, experience and military might to actualize his threat. He sent his officer, Rabshakeh, to announce to Hezekiah through his servants (Eliakim and Shebna) who pleaded with him not to deliver the message in Hebrew language so as not to create fear in heart of the ordinary people. Guess what? He shouted louder than before. May the Lord speak to us today in Jesus name. Exhortation Beloved, it will be the height of naivety for anyone of us, God’s children, to assume that the adversary and his agents are stupid and are without proven, lethal and effective winning strategies. Strangely enough, the main thrust of the weapons of the adversary are still the same but, unfortunately, we often still fall victim of the same old tricks. Eliakim and Shebna understood Assyrian language very well but Rabshakeh would not convey the message that was intended to paralyze the people with fear in a language they could not relate with. Hear me, my reader, the enemy will not present his manifesto of stealing, killing and destruction to you in an unfamiliar language. For instance, he won’t bait you with apple when all you have ever seen or known in your life is coco yam! Whenever, he wants to attack he does that with what is well known and available to you. If you don’t believe me, ask the Lord Jesus (Matthew 4:3-11). That is why he communicates his greatest weapon (fear) in languages best known to you. For instance, he can begin to threaten you with death using the same medical condition that killed your parents and each time you have symptoms, he will remind you – you know that was what killed so and so! He knows how to throw dummies of fear in dreams and negative reports in order to sweep you off your feet. The Bible says Rabshakeh cried louder – sometimes when the enemy realizes that you are afraid, he will aggravate the negative evidence. But thank God for Hezekiah who knew where such matters are handled – in the presence of God! Isaiah 37:1-7. Are you currently being harassed in any way by the enemy? Fear is not the answer rather, your faith in God is your unassailable weapon of victory. The experience of your “Sennacherib”, his track records, exploits and might cannot match the omnipotence of your God. Brace up, rise up and quit ye like men. Take the matter to God in prayer. Zionists are never losers but are always winners. Your father is omnipotent(Elohim), your elder brother (Master Jesus ) is a conqueror and you are more than conquerors. Romans 8:37. Rabshakeh lost and Hezekiah won; you will win. Don’t mind the noise of the enemy – he is a noise maker. Just keep trusting God especially at this time and yonder! If you don’t give up, He will show up! Prayer May God give you a word concerning your situation in Jesus name.

Anchor Scripture: John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Meditations Calvary greetings in Jesus name and, it is my pleasure to welcome you to this forum once again. We shall continue with our meditation on the statement of Jesus Christ in our anchor scripture. Jesus says “…I am the life…” This statement when carefully examined must imply that life is much more than the biological mode of existence – it definitely must connote something more than existential living. As a matter of fact, the original word translated as Life in that verse is Zoe (Grk) meaning, the life of God or Eternal Life. I pray the Holy Ghost help our understanding in Jesus name. Exhortation: Jesus, The Life: Jesus emphatically presents Himself to us in our anchor scripture as the author and giver of life. But in Revelations 3:1-2, Jesus was talking to the church in Sardis and said “To the angel (divine messenger) of the church in Sardis write: These are the words … I know your deeds; you have a name (reputation) that you are alive, but (in reality) you are dead. Wake up and reaffirm and strengthen what remains (of your faithful commitment to Me), which is about to die; for I have not found (any of) your deeds completed in the sight of My God or meeting His requirements.” (AMP). Here heaven presented the Report Card of the church of Sardis and, it is quite sad that they had a completely different impression of their reality in the light of divine assessment. Though they were dead, they thought they were still alive. Perhaps they have played church for so long that they could no longer distinguish between Christianity (which is relationship with Jesus) and “churchianity” (which is religion). It is very convenient for us to pride ourselves in our past achievements and therefore become beclouded to what made those achievements possible in the first place. Jesus called the attention of the above mentioned church to the fact that everything was about to die – and indeed, they all died because they ignored the warning. Just as a piece of furniture gathers dust over time if not regularly dusted and polished and, may actually be unfit for use over a long time, the same way dusts of little, little errors can settle on a man’s spirit until he becomes completely insensitive to the Holy Spirit and eventually insulated from the life of God. Therefore, true life is connectivity to Jesus. Little wonder He says in John 15:5 “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” Truly, what can the branches do without the stem? The life of the branches is in the stem therefore, once a branch is severed from the stem, it is only a matter of time, the leaves will soon drop off! You remember Adam in Gen 2:16-17, as far as God was concerned, he was dead the moment he ate the forbidden fruit – though he was in biological existence for thousands of years thereafter. Dear reader, I like for you to carefully assess yourself whether you are still alive indeed. Sin kills; righteousness imparts life. There is no life in sinful existence as the devil has deceived many people to believe. True life – I mean eternal life, is only in Christ Jesus. I beseech you therefore, to get out of the territory of death and walk into true LIFE – Jesus Christ. Dear fellow pilgrim, it won’t be out of place to regularly examine yourself if the life of God (Zoe) still flows through your spirit. These are perilous times! Selah! Prayer May you not be a walking sepulcher in Jesus name,

Anchor Scripture: John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Meditations Greetings in the name of The all-conquering Savior – The Lord Jesus Christ. May the joy of the Lord be your portion now and forever. Amen. You will recall that we began to look at the above scripture in the last edition of The Word and, we saw a bit of what Jesus meant by presenting Himself as “The way”. He did not stop at that, as it can be seen from the anchor scripture, He actually went on to say “I am The Truth”. (emphasis mine). Again, we shall trust God to show us the light behind this loaded statement of the Adonai. Exhortation: Jesus, The Truth: Truth is defined by the word web dictionary as “a fact that has been verified .” Wow! Isn’t that interesting that Jesus is the fact, both of life and eternity, that has been verified? Jesus Christ says I am the eternally time tested fact of life without flaw. Therefore, that unpleasant situation you are going through now, for instance, can be a fact but understand this that facts fade it only the truth that remain changeless. We have seen scientific facts change over time. For instance chloroquine used to be a scientific fact to cure malaria for a long time but that has since changed to a combo of active ingredients called artesunate – it may still change with further research. You know what? Since malaria was known in this world up till now, 1Peter 2:24 (Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed) has not changed! Why? Because it is a verified fact. Where was it verified? At Calvary! Brethren, the only things that can be true are what Jesus accomplished on our behalf at Calvary. Therefore, may I encourage someone reading this short piece of exhortation to stop panicking. If God did not say it, then it is a lie and you don’t have to believe a lie. That was why God asked Abraham in Genesis 3:11 “… who told thee that thou wast naked…” Therefore my question to you is who told you that you cannot make it? Who told you that God cannot forgive your sins? Who told you that you will die young? Who told you that there is no future for you? Beloved, these issues, and many more, can actually be facts in your life but, they are not verified and therefore must not be trusted. If God did not say so then you have no business announcing it! A lady (she is medical personnel) who was waiting on the Lord for the fruit of the womb heard me preach along this line sometimes ago and, suddenly God open her eyes to see this truth. She got home and confronted her husband with the question – who told us we cannot have children? To cut the long story short, she conceived that month and recently they celebrated their wedding anniversary with three lovely children! Truth has the capacity to ridicule lie at any time. Jesus is the Truth and His word is the truth. John 17:17. It is only the truth that can separate you from the corruptions in this world. (2 Peter 1:4). I hereby encourage you to embrace the truth and the next time the devil attempts to harass you with any negative situation, just tell him – it is not verified! God bless you. Prayer You shall not be a victim of the lie of the enemy in Jesus name. Amen.

The Word PT 2

Anchor Scripture: John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Meditations I am most excited to bring you greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. May His glory never depart from you. Each of Jesus’s statements are eternally true and timeless in application and relevance. To ignore His instructions is to ignore life – I mean, real and true life. John 6:63. Therefore, when He says “I am the way, the truth and the life”, He was not wasting words. The above statement was a personal introduction of the Lord Jesus of Himself to the disciples – these were people who followed Him everywhere He went every day for almost three years and six months. Ordinarily one would have thought that they knew Him but alas, they did not. That simply suggests to me that one could be a Christian and may not have known Jesus. Hence the need for us to examine this statement more carefully in spite of the fact that I know many of us have read it several times and we copiously quote it off hand. May the Lord make us of a quick understanding. Exhortation: Jesus, The Way: There are several definitions of the word “way” in the dictionary but the one I like most as defined by the word web dictionary is – “how something is done or how it happens.” If we therefore, adopt this definition and apply it to Jesus, then, “Jesus is how something ought to be done and how things ought to happen.” In other words, Jesus is the only “how” a Christian should do things. Beloved, we miss this very salient point in most of our choices and decisions in life as God’s own children on earth. Perhaps, this explains the failures we have to deal with many times and many avoidable dead ends we often run to. The Bible says “There is a way that seems right to a person, but eventually it ends in death.” (MSG). Can you imagine how many things have died in our hands and in our lives because we followed every other “how” apart from Jesus’s “ how”. Very many legitimate dreams and visions have been pursued using the wrong means and they crashed on the platform of the wrong “how”. You know we often wrongly say that the end justify the means but I dare say that as kingdom citizens, it is the means (how) that justify the end. To drive this home more clearly the point is that your latest accomplishment, for instance, is not as important as how you got it. For instance, how did you get the last promotion in your office? How did you buy that posh car or how did you build that beautiful house that has become the talk of everyone in your community? How are you building, even, that ministry that God gave you? It is important you are able to answer it was done Jesus way! The “how” of a thing is very important hence the psalmist says “blessed is the man who walk not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the WAY of sinners …” Psalm 1:1. There is a way those who don’t know God yet get their things done. Sometimes, I even hear them boast in their ability to get results through hook and crook and they will say – “I am a goal getter”. For you, the goal should not be as important as how you got it because you should not adopt any other way outside of Jesus. Please don’t go to get the long awaited fruit of the womb outside of Jesus. The devil is a killer, he is just waiting for you to enter a wrong way and be trapped. A wrong way may look good at the beginning but you can be sure it won’t end well. You perhaps are wondering why is God emphasizing on this type of topic at this time?I guess it is because the easiest time to wanting to get results any how is during times of pressures and difficulties such as we currently have. Therefore, I encourage you to retract your steps and connect your destination through Jesus Christ. Time and space will fail me to go any further on this subject in this edition. I trust God to continue in subsequent editions but meanwhile, before taking the next decision always ask yourself this question “… what saith the scripture?..,” Romans 4:3. In other words , what is the scriptural prescription for your proposed actions and or choices? Thank God on my behalf as I appreciate Him for entrance into this world a few years ago! God bless you. Prayers May the sufficiency of Jesus abound towards you. You are lifted and blessed in Jesus name.

The Word – PT1

Text: 2Samuel 23:11-23. “And after him was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. And the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where was a piece of ground full of lentiles: and the people fled from the Philistines. But he stood in the midst of the ground, and defended it, and slew the Philistines: and the LORD wrought a great victory.” Meditations Joyful greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. David, the sweet psalmist of Israel, was a nobody before the encounter with God through prophet Samuel in 1Samuel 16:13. The anointing transformed his entire life and made him a giant killer. The beautiful part of David’s life is that he also became a raiser of men and builder of destiny. The scripture quoted above is that of the exploit one of the men who were distressed and discounted in 1Samuel 22:1-2 (we can call them the poorest of the poor in the society ) who followed him while he ran to cave Adulam from Saul the king. David so imparted these lives that they all ended up as mighty men. Such was Shammah the son of Agee who turned out as a territory defender. Though it was an ordinary field of lentiles (cow pea) but it was Jewish territory and therefore must be kept for God and Shammah rose up in the midst of many to do the needful while others fled! Looking back in the last thirty (30) years since I got born again (20/04/1990), I cannot but give God all the glory for that glorious encounter on the grounds of Liberty Stadium, In Ibadan, after a powerful ministration on the Cross of Jesus by Evang Reinhard Bonnke of blessed memory. That encounter has afforded me divine enablement to defend the gospel in my own little way. Jesus has been wonderful all the way. However, reflecting on the accomplishment of Shammah again today, I hereby recommit myself to God and the defense of His kingdom’s perspectives and ideals so that it might be said of me also that God wrought a great victory through my life on the last day. I want to appreciate everyone whom God has used either directly or indirectly through their books and tapes to help me in the journey this far. I have been privileged in the last thirty years to drink from various divinely ordained cisterns too numerous to mention. I am grateful to them all. For those of them still alive, may the Lord fill you afresh with His grace and for those who have gone ahead of us, may their legacies endure. I also appreciate God for those who labored to build the platforms on which I have served and still serving. And for those who have bowed their knees before God to pray for me, God shall reward you. I am very grateful. Furthermore, I appreciate all who take time to read the little materials I have been used of God to send out as the Holy Spirit stirs my spirit. You are such a great motivation. Please help me raise up an altar of praise for thirty years of the mercies of God. Continue to pray for me still that He who started the good work in me shall complete it. For me, by the grace of God, it is just the beginning as I commit myself afresh to the service of God as a restorer of deserted cities and builder of dilapidated walls. Meanwhile, if you are not yet born again even as you read this short testimony of my walk with God so far, I encourage you to come on board and give your life to Christ. I can tell you that there is no better life outside of Jesus. He is simply the best! Oh, for a thousand tongues to sing my great Redeemer’s praise! To God be the glory great things He has done. I am grateful and God bless you ALL
